The Philosophy of Our Name & Logo

The name RAGAMAYA was coined from the Sanskrit words: RAGA meaning melodic mode, MAYA meaning illusion. Together, RAGAMAYA means melody of an illusion.

Munnar. Located around 5,600 ft above sea level, in the Western Ghats, Munnar is more than a hill-station. It′s sheer soul-filling magic. Getting its name from being the high altitude station of the Kundala Valley Railway, Top Station offers you breath-taking view of Munnar hills and the Theni Valley which lies beyond. Mattuppetti (Village of cattle, In Tamil) is a place where migrant Tamil used to raise cattle. The place is famous for its dam and the Indo-Swiss dairy project. It's the ideal destination to spend the day, especially if children are around. The dam has facilities for boat rides.

That's not all. Neelakurinji, a plant which blossoms only once in 12 years, is a major tourist puller, when it spreads its blazing, spell-binding blue garb over the hills and valleys. Rare species of birds like Malabar gray hornbills, Ceylon frogmouths, parakeets, rose-billed rollers and woodpeckers are spotted in huge numbers in the forests of Munnar.

We realise how difficult it is for you to leave your pets behind at home when you travel. Your pets are more than welcome to stay with you at Ragamaya though we insist on a few conditions

  • Please make sure your pets are disciplined and well behaved and they do not mess up the room and bed linen. If at all it happens we will levy a small cleaning charge.
  • Do not leave them alone in the rooms.
  • The safety and well being of your pets is solely your own responsibility and the management takes no liability.
  • Make sure they are on a leash in public areas.
  • For the consideration of our other pet neutral guests do not let your pets enter the public pool and the restaurant during meal times.
  • Pets are not allowed on the bed or furniture. Pleas make sure you bring along your pets bedding during your stay.
  • An extra charge of ₹500 + tax will be levied per pet per day.
